Park strip flips, front yard conversions, and drip retrofits — designed to Utah rebate spec where your district participates.
Xeriscape does not mean a rock yard. A gravel-only conversion radiates heat, grows weeds anyway, and won't qualify for a rebate.
The call comes every July: secondary water is restricted, the lawn looks rough despite running four nights a week, and the homeowner is done fighting it. Xeriscaping is usually the right answer — but the word covers everything from a $2,000 park strip flip to a $40,000 full-yard redesign, and there's a wrong version we spend real time tearing back out.
Utah's own conservation standard is built around keeping a smaller, useful patch of lawn and converting the rest to layered waterwise planting on drip, connected by hardscape. That's what we design to, and it's also what the rebate programs require.
Two practical reasons we steer people away from rock-over-fabric:
Utah runs statewide lawn-conversion incentives through utahwatersavers.com — the "Flip Your Strip" park strip program and broader landscape conversion rebates — paid per square foot of qualifying converted lawn in participating districts. Rates and rules vary by district and change year to year, so treat that site as the source of truth.
The mistake that costs people the rebate: removing lawn before the application is approved. Pre-existing demo almost always disqualifies the project. Your city may also stack additional incentives on top of the district rebate — one call to the city water conservation office is worth making. We design to rebate spec by default when your district participates.

Ranges reflect what we actually quote in West Jordan and the surrounding valley in 2026. Site access, tear-out, and base condition move the number more than anything else — which is why every estimate is written after Bryan walks the property, not over the phone.
Bryan walks the property, scopes it honestly, and delivers a written quote — usually within 24 hours.

West Jordan is home base. We work outward from there across the southwest Salt Lake Valley, and up into the north Utah County growth corridor.
