Concrete Replacement & Backyard Renovations in Sandy

Sandy is one of the largest cities in the Salt Lake Valley, with established neighborhoods stretching from the base of the Wasatch Mountains near Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons down to the 9400 South corridor. Most homes here were built between the 1980s and 2000s — which means a lot of driveways, patios, and fences are hitting the end of their lifespan.

Cracked driveways, settled walkways, rotting wood fences, and yards that haven't been updated in two decades — we see it constantly in Sandy. The good news: upgrading your exterior is one of the best investments you can make. A new driveway and fresh landscaping transforms your property's curb appeal and adds real value to your home.

Level Up Concrete & Landscape handles the full scope of renovation work that Sandy homeowners need. We tear out old concrete and pour new slabs, replace worn fencing with maintenance-free vinyl, rebuild tired landscaping, and create backyard spaces designed for the way people actually use their yards — kids playing, families grilling, neighbors hanging out.

What Sandy Homeowners Are Upgrading

  • Driveway replacement — Demo the old slab, regrade, compact a proper base, and pour new concrete. We haul away all the old material. Most jobs done in 3-5 days.
  • Backyard renovation — New patio, updated landscaping, fresh sod or xeriscaping, and maybe a fire pit. Transform a tired backyard into a space you actually want to use.
  • Fence replacement — Swap old wood for vinyl or install a new fence where there wasn't one. Vinyl won't rot, warp, or need staining. We handle removal of the old fence.
  • Walkway & step repair — Fix settled or cracked walkways, replace front steps, add a proper sidewalk connection from the driveway to your front door.
  • Sprinkler system overhaul — Many Sandy homes have older sprinkler systems with leaking valves and poor coverage. We redesign and reinstall for proper zoning and efficiency.
  • Curb appeal packages — Driveway + front landscaping + walkway. Everything your neighbors and future buyers see first.

Renovation Done Right, Start to Finish

Renovation projects are different from new construction. There's existing concrete to demo, old sprinkler lines to work around, mature trees and plants to protect, and neighbors to keep happy during construction. We've done hundreds of renovation projects and know how to handle the surprises that come with working on established properties.

Bryan visits every Sandy property personally before quoting. He'll walk your lot, identify any drainage issues or grading problems, check the condition of existing work, and give you a detailed quote that covers everything — including tearout, haul-away, and any prep work needed. No surprise charges at the end.

And because we handle concrete, landscaping, fencing, and decking as one company, renovation projects go faster. We sequence the work so each phase builds on the last without wasting time waiting for a different contractor to show up. One project. One timeline. Done.

Sandy Concrete & Landscaping FAQ

It depends on the damage. Surface cracks can sometimes be sealed, but if you're seeing heaving, large cracks, or sections that have settled and shifted, replacement is the better investment. Patching cracked concrete is a temporary fix that usually fails within a year or two. We'll inspect your driveway and give you an honest recommendation.
We bring in a skid steer or jackhammer depending on the slab thickness, break up the old concrete, load it into dump trailers, and haul it away. We then regrade the base, compact it, and pour fresh concrete. Tearout and haul-away is included in our quotes — no surprise fees.
We can get close, but fresh concrete will always look different from aged concrete initially. Over time the color evens out. If matching is a concern, we can discuss options like staining or coloring the new pour, or doing a larger section so the transition isn't noticeable.
Spring through early fall (April to October) is ideal. Concrete needs consistent temperatures above 40F to cure properly. We can pour in colder months with special precautions, but it adds cost and complexity. Book early in spring for the best scheduling availability.
We handle projects of all sizes. A simple walkway repair, a single fence run, or a small patio — we don't have a minimum project size. That said, bundling multiple projects together saves you money since we're already on-site with equipment and crew.
